Snowman Mirror

This snowman mirror holding a tree would brighten make a great addition to snowman lovers out there. Original design hand painted on wood.

I like this one but there is something missing...not sure what maybe more separation of the letter H for holidays and happy. I might change the letter style or just paint it all dark blue might be better. Anyway I will change it and post the change when I am done.

Merry Christmas to all!!

Reindeer Trio

These cute reindeer would make any person smile. Hand painted original design cork ornament.

Hope everyone enjoys Christmas and best wishes !!

I will post more things I am making soon. I am still making some gifts....

Penguin Mirror - Teacher gift

This penguin is ready for snow. Holding his star to put on a tree outside. His floppy hat and scarf to match make him a cute gift for anyone. This is a Teacher gift along with a personalized candle and a snowman wishing on a star ornament.

I find it difficult to find original gifts for teachers that they don't already have so every year I make these gifts for teachers and for my family.

Materials: Acrylic paint, basic brushes, IKEA mirror

Reindeer Snow Mirror - Teacher gift

The watchful Reindeer is the next mirror that I painted for a Teacher gift. There is one more coming up next is the penguin mirror.

Sitting on the snow bank watching as things go by the Reindeer wonders why you are not outside in the snow. With his floppy hat and red scarf he is ready to go outside with you and play. You can keep him out all winter long as a reminder that snow is soon to come.

Materials: Acrylic paint, IKEA mirror, my design.

Snowman Star Template - 2014 Original Design Tutorial

It's been awhile but decided to make a quick tutorial for you to follow and make your own snowman with a star.

This tutorial is for personal use only. Link back to this page and read copyright material at the bottom of the page. By using this site you agree to the terms stated below.

Now that official stuff is over with. If you check to the left I adjusted the links to add the current tutorial. If you there is something I forgot to tell you let me know and I will adjust the document. Happy Crafting!!

Snowman Star Template - 2014 Original Design Tutorial

Just a heads up about copyright material. This lady decided to call this ornament hers....but really I designed it in 2002 and I didn't give permission to use my design especially to make money from it. Mine is better quality and would never use varnish on the nose...takes away from the nice red.  Don't get me wrong I have made other peoples lovely project but gave them away and told the people I saw it on this or that site and thought it was a great gift. But to sell someone original work..well. Glad it's only one I seen so far online.haha Life goes on and the more your share the easier it is to steal an idea rather than be original. To see further older ornaments I haven't transferred from Flickr.

Snowman Wishing On A Star

These Snowmen are wishing on a star. Each with their own expression. No two are exactly the same. Working free hand gives these ornaments a great variety of expressions and how cute is that. Now is the hard part ... to pick which one you like best.

Up next are some adorable mittens ornaments and pins. Keep a look out for more snowman to come in the next coming week or so.

Material: Acrylic paint, cork coaster, hole puncher.

Just a quick note about my work. All my designs take time to make. I spend at least five weeks before Christmas designing these ornaments and gifts.  Sometimes I only get to make them over two years or many years. If I design something and can't get the supplies it takes a long time. For example, below are the candles for the teachers gifts. I designed them two years ago and only this year I can make them. I found the supplies I needed and they turned out just like I planned. The image of the angel was a recent decision.

If you like my designs link back here. Please read the disclaimer below about copyright material. If I use a picture or I like a design and make it for personal I link back to the image or craft. As I like to make things I see, I like to say to check the original design. If I can't find the original link I mention it and you can look for yourself.

It's a busy time of the year. Lets all buy local handmade crafts or better yet make it yourself. Happy Crafting!!!

A Helping Branch ...

This Snowman is happy to give a helping branch to his little friends in time of need. It's snowing outside and he has found a little bird house for them to call home. Hand painted and original design makes this a unique gift.

There are three or so mirrors on the go right now and I have probably 4 other designs for ornaments on the tree. Next up is Snowman wishing on a star ....

Materials: Acrylic paint, IKEA mirror

Snow Mirror 2014

Christmas is coming fast and there is a lot to do. This mirror is designed for teachers. The small school house on the top left between the trees with diamonds on the tip. It can also have a regular house in place of a School house.

The snowman is glowing with his own tree and a special star guiding him through the snow.  I will be making more designs with this style of mirror. Come back often as now is the time for me to get busy crafting for Christmas.

Material used: Acrylic paint, stick on diamonds, Ikea mirror.

2014 Teacher Christmas Gift - Personalized Candle

Here is the first thing I made for the Teachers this year. I have started Christmas gifts for the Teachers from my children. Over the next couple of weeks I will be posting my new creations. Feel free to come back and see what is new this year.

This candle was designed by me but the angel I have found online. It is the first time I make candles with success. Last year I tried to do it but didn't have wax paper.

This is personalized candle with the names of each child in the teachers class. The names are embedded in a LED candle. It will last as long as they take care packing it away for next year.

I am using this print for personal use. Please read copy right text on usage. Here is the link if you are interested in using the same angel:  Image link: Candy Cane Angel 1

Happy Crafting!!

TIP:
I forgot to mention the reason I didn't have success. I was using baking paper to hold it in place so it was bumpy and didn't melt into the candle so well. With the wax paper the image is soaked into the candle and the wax paper leaves a fine wax film over it. Makes a difference. I am not an expert at making things but I don't limit myself to the things I already know how to do.
